Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Lead to supervise facility operations, delegating tasks and guiding the team when the Manager is absent. The role focuses on maintaining clean and safe buildings for workers and customers, with responsibilities including safety compliance and issue escalation.

The Lead coordinates daily operations, oversees cleaning quality, manages schedules, and trains new hires while ensuring effective communication between field staff and management at the assigned site.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required
• Preferred: 1 year of similar work experience
• Preferred: 1 year of customer service experience
• Preferred: 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
• Valid Driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to team members
• Oversee cleaning operations in assigned building
• Handle keys and access cards for the property
• Report damaged, broken, and out of work features/items
• Oversee and perform additional service requests in assigned building
• Oversee quality of jobs and confirm completion with Area Manager
• Provide training for new hires per onboarding procedures
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly
• Follow assigned work schedules and route cards as directed
• Report barriers and coordinate daily operations
