Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Facilities Engineer for the Morton, IL site to support facility operations, contractor management, and maintenance planning.

You will work with internal teams and external providers to keep equipment and buildings safe, compliant, and productive. You will manage maintenance inventory, fuel procurement, safety programs, CMMS data usage, and asset lifecycle decisions, guiding capital improvements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage contractor relationships and oversee contract administration.
• Coordinate with purchasing and procurement for contractor engagements.
• Supervise onsite contractors for facilities, maintenance, landscaping, vehicle repair, and heavy equipment services.
• Develop and monitor contractor safety plans and ensure site safety compliance.
• Conduct contractor inspections and track performance against deliverables.
• Coordinate procurement and inventory of fuels for facility and vehicle operations.
• Serve as primary contact for contractors performing building or maintenance work.
• Manage maintenance and repair parts inventory and storeroom operations.
• Lead asset lifecycle planning and capital improvement recommendations.
• Utilize CMMS data to support maintenance planning and asset management.
