Job summary

The Great Hall & Conference Center is seeking a part-time Event Representative to supervise events on-site, ensuring contracts are honored and guests receive excellent service. The role requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with duties spanning setup, vendor coordination, safety checks, and post-event reporting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, hospitality experience, and strong customer service skills; CPR/AED certification is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with hospitality experience.
• Willing to obtain CPR/AED certification.
• Customer service oriented with ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Able to work nights and weekends as event schedules demand.
• Able to lift and move at least 15 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure facility before and after events.
• Direct and coordinate activities with food service and other vendors.
• Set-up and break down of chairs, tables, stages, audio-visual and other equipment.
• Explain policies and procedures for use of the facility.
• Respond to emergency situations with appropriate procedures.
• Inspect facility for cleanliness and safety before, during and after events.
• Produce event reports noting significant problems.
