Job summary

Tempo: Music and Meetups is seeking an Event Staff member for on-site support in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will help with setup and breakdown, welcome guests, and assist performers and vendors while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

This is a contract role with evening availability for events, including November 7th, 4-9 PM. Ideal candidates have strong communication and time management skills, experience in event planning or marketing basics, and the ability to work collaboratively

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact positively with attendees, performers, vendors, and partners.
• Experience or interest in Event Planning and Event Marketing to support logistics, promotions, and on-site activations.
• Basic Sales or outreach abilities to help promote events, engage potential partners, and encourage attendee participation.
• Reliable time management, attention to detail, and ability to follow event procedures and instructions.
• Comfort working on-site in busy environments, including standing for extended periods and assisting with light physical tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and maintain a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.
• Availability for the evening of November 7th from 4-9 PM.

Responsibilities

• Support setup and breakdown of event spaces, stages, vendor areas, signage, and attendee flow.
• Welcome guests, answer questions, assist performers and vendors, maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Manage check-in, distribute materials, coordinate lines and crowd movement.
• Support basic event logistics under the direction of the event lead.
• Assist with promotional activities during events and capture attendee feedback.
• Represent the Tempo brand in a professional and friendly manner.
