Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an On-Site Specialist I to provide hazardous and non-hazardous services at client facilities in North Carolina, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. The role includes travel within a 90-minute radius of Raleigh for site assignments and requires a CDL and Hazwoper certification.

The candidate will handle waste packaging, labeling, manifesting, and shipping, with training across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Science related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in the industry and customer service preferred.
• OSHA 40 hour Hazwoper Certification; CDL Class A or B required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional image with clients and address inquiries.
• Manage on-site hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per contract.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Complete and verify US DOT/EPA paperwork for hazardous waste disposal.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely to complete projects on time.
• Understand contract terms and follow through on assignments.
• Travel up to 90 minutes radius of Raleigh for various job sites.
• Assist with other duties as needed.
