BAE Systems - Space & Mission Systems in Radford, Virginia, is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead the site's environmental program. You will report to the Safety, Health, & Environmental Director and oversee a team of five Environmental Engineers across air, waste, and water compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 8+ years of experience, and strong regulatory knowledge. You will manage communications with agencies and the community, drive compliance efforts,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology or Chemistry; eight years related work experience or equivalent; management experience to lead a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication to share information with all facility levels.
• Proficiency with industry software/databases and environmental regulatory knowledge (ISO 14001:2015).

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage a team of five Environmental Engineers focusing on Air, Solid Waste, and Water Compliance.
• Direct liaison between the site and governing agencies and community.
• Stay ahead of regulatory requirements and keep leadership updated in a timely manner.
• Ensure all compliance reports are prepared and approved ahead of schedule.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve environmental compliance issues.
• Serve as environmental expert during MOD projects and manage the environmental budget.
