Job summary
The Employee Connect is assisting a fast-paced, safety-first manufacturing facility in the Augusta, GA area with a Lead Environmental Engineer responsible for owning environmental compliance across air, water, stormwater and waste programs. The role requires deep regulatory understanding, ability to interact with regulators, write permits, and influence plant leadership to invest in sustainability.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, civil, or mechanical engineering and manufacturing experience.
- Regulatory writing, permit preparation, and compliance program ownership.
- Proven ability to work onsite at a manufacturing plant and interact with regulators.
Responsibilities
- Lead site environmental compliance for air, water, stormwater, and waste programs.
- Prepare permit applications, renewals, and required regulatory reports.
- Conduct environmental audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
- Serve as primary contact with state and federal environmental agencies.
- Train employees on environmental procedures and spill response.
- Drive waste reduction, energy, and sustainability projects.
- Review new equipment and projects for environmental impact.
