Job summary

Alpha hires guides to lead early literacy in a full-time, on-site role across K-3. You will diagnose gaps, run targeted sessions for 2-4 students, and help students reach daily reading goals while keeping momentum with app-based learning.

Relocation support is available, and Alpha offers health, life and disability insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and a one-time relocation allowance. Bachelor’s required; structured-literacy training or a master's in reading is valued.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor's degree; teaching certificate not required.

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Coaching students through targeted literacy sessions with 2–4 learners.
• Lead morning launches, workshops, and daily classroom routines.
• Support students toward weekly app-based reading goals with data.
• Maintain engagement through structured interventions and progress checks.
