Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking an experienced electrician to perform a full range of electrical installation, maintenance and repair tasks on facility systems. The role requires reading blueprints, following NEC guidelines, and coordinating with helpers to complete work with minimal supervision.

You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, planning activities, and ensuring safety standards. Work hours typically Monday through Friday with on-call potential, and a pay rate aligned

Qualifications

• Minimum education and 4-year journeyman experience or 5 years related work.
• 2 years experience in electrical operations.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety standards and NEC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical maintenance and repair operations.
• Install, alter, maintain and repair wiring systems and fixtures.
• Install and repair electrical equipment such as panels and AC units.
• Estimate time and materials for work orders.
• Direct the work of assigned helpers.
• Work from blueprints and specifications.
