Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Journeyperson certification obtained through a formal program, military service, or union apprenticeship.
• Technical expertise in electrical systems up to 12kV.
• Ability to read blueprints and use standard power and hand tools.
• HVAC certification is a plus.
• Certification to operate scissor or boom lifts is preferred.
• Valid state driver's license is required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in tight spaces.
• Weekend overtime or shift changes may be required.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to ensure the peak performance and safety of our facility's electrical infrastructure and machinery. You will take full responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diverse systems, ranging from complex motor controls to essential fire alarm setups.

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix issues within electrical distribution networks, motor controls, fire alarms, and timekeeping systems
• Perform general maintenance on lighting and fixtures while executing new electrical installations
• Calculate necessary resources, timeframes, and expenses for upcoming electrical tasks
• Coordinate the procurement and organization of essential parts and inventoryEnsure all external contractors adhere strictly to NEC regulatory standards
• Provide rapid response to both urgent service requests and scheduled maintenance needs
• Support the team by providing guidance and technical direction to junior maintenance personnel

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a GED or high school diploma
• Valid Journeyperson certification obtained through a formal trade program, military service, or union apprenticeship
• Deep technical expertise regarding electrical systems reaching up to 12K volts
• Proficiency in interpreting technical blueprints and operating standard power and hand tools
• Possession of an HVAC certification is considered an advantage
• Ability to secure or currently hold a certification for operating scissor or boom lifts
• Current and valid state-issued driver's license
• Physical capability to maneuver in tight areas, reach elevated heights, and lift items weighing up to 40 lbs
• Willingness to adapt your schedule for weekend overtime or shift changes based on operational demands
