Job summary

IES Residential is seeking a Piecework Electrical Technician in Longmont, CO to perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems. You will review plans, diagnose issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently on-site in a fast-paced environment. Travel between sites and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–4 years of electrical installation/maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in construction, operations, or service environments is a plus.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support accurate project execution.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and electrical codes.
• Coordinate with teammates, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
• Support project timelines and assist with operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions for safety and efficiency.
• Assist with training less experienced technicians as needed.
• Maintain professionalism in all customer and operational interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
