Job summary

IES is seeking a Piecework Electrical Technician in Longmont, CO. You will perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on systems and equipment, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure safety and compliance.

Minimum 2–4 years experience and a high school diploma preferred. This on-site role offers USD 25–40 per hour, with strong safety culture and opportunities to mentor junior technicians on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance or troubleshooting preferred.
• Certifications or licenses as required for duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support accurate project execution.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure work complies with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with teams, vendors, and departments regarding project activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of electrical work and project activities.
• Support project timelines and resolve operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor equipment and site conditions for safety and efficiency.
• Assist with training less experienced technicians as needed.
• Communicate professionally with customers and partners.
