Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Safety Representative for a large-scale data center project in Wheatfield, IN. The role requires field presence, electrical-safety knowledge, and the authority to pause work for hazards while coordinating corrective action with leadership.

You will work with project teams to enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E standards, maintain records, and lead safety meetings. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction card required.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and NFPA 70E.
• Ability to recognize hazards and exercise stop-work authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible safety presence across assigned areas during operations.
• Apply OSHA, NFPA 70E, and project requirements; translate to practical field controls.
• Conduct field observations, inspections, and audits; document findings and actions.
• Review hazard analyses, pre-task plans, safety assignments, permits and work plans.
• Support safety planning, including lockout/tagout and energized-work controls.
• Coordinate orientation, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training records.
• Lead or support incident response, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and participate in planning meetings and coordination.
