Jacobs in the Baton Rouge, LA area is seeking an On-Site Electrical Engineer to lead installation and delivery of electrical infrastructure. The role serves as on-site representative coordinating with project stakeholders and resolving design and construction challenges.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in electrical design or 5+ years in hyperscale data centers; experience with substations, switchgear, UPS, MV/LV, and protective relaying; strong communication and field safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
10+ years in electrical design, construction, operations, or commissioning; or 5+ years for hyperscale data centers.
Experience with substations, switchgear, UPS, generators, MV/LV distribution, relaying.
Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and testing requirements.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to safely work on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-site representative for electrical systems.
Support construction activities involving MV/LV distribution and other power systems.
Conduct daily field observations to assess quality, safety, and installation progress.
Coordinate electrical design issues and field modifications with engineering teams.
Prepare weekly site observation reports and technical recommendations.
Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication among stakeholders.
