Job summary

Brigham Young University is seeking an electrical engineer to design lighting, power distribution, and control systems for campus projects. You will collaborate with the Major Projects Architect, planning department, and contractors through all project phases, ensuring quality and code compliance.

This on-site role requires CAD and REVIT skills, knowledge of the National Electrical Code, and a track record in lighting design.

Qualifications

Experience with construction methods and NEC applicability.
Proficient in CAD and REVIT for electrical designs.
Extensive lighting design experience across diverse projects.

Responsibilities

Translate needs into working design documents and coordinate electrical components of projects.
Design electrical plans for small and complex projects with emphasis on interior lighting.
Complete cost estimates for required projects.
Inspect electrical installations for NEC compliance and project standards.
Maintain campus CNA database for voltage equipment, lighting, fire alarm, and security.
Coordinate project details with campus departments, contractors, architects and owners.
Review and stamp electrical engineering designs.
