Job summary

SARACA in Devens, MA is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for a full-time, on-site role. You will implement and maintain EHS programs, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards across manufacturing operations.

You will deliver safety training, investigate incidents, track corrective actions, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and HR to foster a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
• Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, JSA, risk assessments.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and hazard/risk assessments
• Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective & preventive actions
• Track EHS metrics including TRIR, Lost Time Incidents, Near Misses & Safety Observations
• Support JSA, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations
• Investigate workplace incidents and participate in root cause analysis
• Track CAPA effectiveness and support regulatory/internal audits
• Drive sustainability, waste reduction, and environmental compliance initiatives
• Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality & HR teams
