Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Consultants to provide on-site safety leadership and support on construction, industrial, manufacturing, energy, and technology projects across the United States.

Our consultants serve as the boots-on-the-ground safety resource for clients, partnering with project management teams, craft professionals, contractors, and owners to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience in construction/industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
• Experience conducting field audits, safety observations, training, and corrective action management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field safety observations, inspections, and audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and coordinate corrective actions with project teams.
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Prepare safety reports for clients and stakeholders (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee training sessions.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and safe work plans.
• Support high-risk activities including fall protection, LOTO, confined space, crane and rigging, excavation, hot work, and electrical safety.
