Job summary

TH Daniels seeks an EHS Manager for a high-volume Chicago-area manufacturing facility. This onsite role leads environmental, health and safety initiatives, partnering closely with operations to reduce risk and improve performance on the plant floor.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of EHS experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing, strong OSHA knowledge, and a hands-on approach. You will report to the General Manager and work five days weekly to sustain a robust safety culture.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Experience across environmental, health and safety responsibilities with balanced understanding.
• Background in FDA-regulated, GMP or similar compliance manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of OSHA, hazardous waste and wastewater treatment.
• Experience delivering EHS training programs.
• Strong understanding of environmental compliance and risk reduction.
• Hands-on, floor-focused approach, not purely corporate EHS.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• On-site work five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance programs across federal, state and local regulations.
• Oversee site-wide EHS initiatives, policies and training.
• Drive continuous improvement in EHS procedures.
• Manage EHS metrics and report KPIs to senior leadership.
• Develop strategies to reduce operational risk and environmental impact.
• Support management of hazardous waste and wastewater treatment.
• Promote safety culture through regular engagement with staff and operations.
• Ensure GMP, OSHA and applicable regulatory compliance.
• Maintain visible floor presence and provide practical EHS guidance.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions when required.
