Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to join the EHS Team in Memphis to support the construction, expansion, and operation of SpaceX's AI infrastructure and large-scale compute facilities.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on in environmental and occupational safety, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with AI hardware engineers, construction teams, and operations technicians to ensure safe execution and robust safety programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field.
5+ years of design, development, and operational oversight of EHS programs, ideally in high-tech manufacturing, data centers, or industrial construction environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, EPA, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT, and other regulations.
Conduct job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies.
Monitor employee exposure to hazards and recommend remedial actions.
Perform safety reviews of high‑power systems, cooling infrastructure, and hazardous materials.
Lead or assist in incident investigations and corrective actions.
Develop and maintain safety contingency plans.
