Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking an EHS Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs ensuring regulatory compliance and a safe workplace.

The role includes inspections, trainings, recordkeeping, incident investigations, and collaboration with the EHS team. Requires a bachelor’s in EHS and 2–4 years of experience; fast-paced, on-site environment in Hunt Valley, MD with strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field required.
• 2–4 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in manufacturing or life sciences.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other EHS regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for training and presentations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to conduct effective EHS inspections and incident investigations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• EHS certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CHMM) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identification, evaluation, and control of EHS risks and hazards across operations.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and walk-throughs for compliance and improvements.
• Develop and deliver EHS training on hazardous waste, emergency preparedness, PPE, and industrial hygiene.
• Maintain accurate EHS records including incident reports and regulatory documentation.
• Investigate EHS incidents, determining root causes and preventive actions.
• Support EHS Manager in responding to regulatory inquiries and inspections.
• Assist in development and revision of EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Participate in EHS committees and safety culture initiatives.
• Monitor and report on key EHS performance indicators.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant EHS regulations and best practices.
