Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is hiring a Project Coordinator to meet program goals for high school students and college preparation services. The role focuses on enrollment, progress tracking, and collaboration with schools and community partners.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience in education or related fields, with preference for TRIO program background and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelora00216 degree required in education, counseling, social work, higher education administration, or related field.
• Minimum two years of staff supervision, budget management, program development and evaluation experience.
• Minimum four years of experience with federal TRIO programs or similar programs for disadvantaged students.
• Experience providing academic advising services, academic instruction, tutoring, and college/career planning to high school students.
• Preferred Master00216 and bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate and hire staff.
• Collect and submit data for the Annual Performance Report (APR).
• Monitor and document participant academic progress and plan improvements.
• Visit target schools and maintain contact with personnel to promote program services.
• Develop and implement summer enrichment and tutoring programs.
• Recruit participants and ensure enrollment requirements are met.
