Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the education group projects. You will supervise on-site crews, coordinate trades, and ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality standards for the owner.

You will enforce safety policies, manage day-to-day field activities, and assist with budget forecasting while developing site logistics to maximize productivity and minimize disruption to occupants.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of direct supervision of projects, including trades.
• 4-year technical/engineering degree or equivalent.
• Strong communication with team, contractors, architects, and owners.
• Ability to negotiate and handle conflicts professionally.
• Knowledge of construction principles, practices, methods, and safety.
• Market experience in education projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with work scopes and front-end documents for bidding and bid processes.
• Enforce corporate safety policies and ensure field safety compliance.
• Organize and manage day-to-day on-site field labor.
• Supervise and sequence contractor work to minimize interference.
• Assist PM with budget management and forecasting.
• Develop site logistics plans to maximize productivity and minimize impacts.
