Barton Malow is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join the Education group in Harbor Springs, MI. You will supervise and coordinate field teams and contractors to deliver a quality project on time and within plans and specifications.

The role emphasizes safety, clear communication across the team, and efficient site logistics to minimize disruption for building occupants. Prior education-project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of direct supervision of projects, including trades.
• 4-year technical/engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication with team, contractors, architects and owners.
• Ability to negotiate and handle conflicts professionally.
• Knowledge of construction principles, practices, methods, safety and regulations.
• Experience in education projects is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assists with development of work scopes and bid processes and coordinates bid-based selections.
• Enforces corporate safety policies on site and ensures safety compliance.
• Organizes and manages day-to-day on-site field labor.
• Supervises and sequences contractor work to minimize interference among trades.
• Assists PM with budget management and cost forecasting.
• Develops site logistics plans to maximize productivity and minimize occupant impact.
