Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support facility planning and execution at JBSA. This on-site role covers design through construction, with strong emphasis on asset management and DoD processes.

The position requires managing multiple projects and collaborating with government stakeholders and contractors. The ideal candidate has Air Force/DoD project programming experience, durable leadership, and the ability to develop SOWs, cost estimates, and documentation for

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management required
• 5 years of DoD facility and infrastructure O&M project planning in the last 10 years
• 5+ years of USAF Civil Engineering project programming and planning
• Knowledge of Air Force Asset Management and budgeting processes
• Ability to lead installation migration to Asset Management processes
• Experience with cost estimation and lifecycle costing tools preferred
• Strong organization and management skills; independent and team work ability
• US Citizenship and ability to pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage facility renovation, repair, improvement, and construction projects from planning through closeout
• Develop project requirements and SOWs; conduct site/facility surveys and document via DD Form 1391 and AF Form 332
• Input program data into the automated PM system (NEXGEN IT) and support turnover/closeout
• Ensure compliance with codes, Air Force requirements, and UFC
• Review drawings, specs, costs, schedules; lead meetings and coordinate with stakeholders
• Coordinate with engineers/architects; ensure design/construction considerations are addressed
• Perform other duties as assigned
