Confidential Manufacturing Company seeks a Director of Engineering & IT to lead on-site engineering and IT teams in Central, VA. This role directs systems, infrastructure, and production-related initiatives, aligning technology with manufacturing goals.

You will mentor staff, drive performance metrics, optimize workflows, and advance best practices in engineering, software, and IT governance. Budget, vendor oversight, and risk mitigation are essential, with collaboration at the senior leadership

Qualifications

• Strong Engineering Management experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Proven team leadership with coaching and development of engineers and IT professionals.
• Hands-on software development background with modern practices and system architecture.
• Proven project management capabilities: planning, budgeting, timely delivery.
• Experience integrating ERP, MES, automation and data platforms in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement beneficial.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate on-site in a production environment and balance strategy with hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for engineering and IT within manufacturing.
• Lead and mentor engineering and IT teams, aligning with production goals.
• Manage projects, budgets, and cross-functional resource planning.
• Coordinate integration of systems across engineering, IT, and operations.
