Job summary

Our client seeks an IT Director to oversee IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and ERP/enterprise systems within a manufacturing environment. You will lead strategic technology initiatives and hands-on problem solving to ensure reliable and secure systems.

The role requires 7+ years in IT with leadership experience, experience managing MSPs and external vendors, and a strong understanding of ERP platforms. Occasional travel is required.

Our client is an established organization seeking an experienced IT Director - Manufacturing & IT Operations to oversee technology operations, infrastructure, and strategic initiatives. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$160k - $190k

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Director to provide leadership and oversight of IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and hands-on problem-solving.

The ideal candidate has experience leading IT functions within a manufacturing or similarly complex operational environment, managing external technology partners, and ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient systems.

Occasional travel is required.

Required Experience/Skills for the IT Director - Manufacturing & IT Operations:

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience supporting IT operations within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proven experience managing MSPs, external vendors, and outsourced IT services.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and enterprise applications.
• Experience overseeing IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, or similar technologies.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical responsibilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the IT Director - Manufacturing & IT Operations:

• Experience with Epicor or similar ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks and audit processes.
• Experience supporting regulated business environments.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, identity management, and network security tools.
• Relevant IT or cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience leading technology modernization initiatives.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field required.
