Thermo Fisher Scientific in Austin, TX is seeking a Procurement Specialist to ensure uninterrupted supply of direct materials, manage end-to-end POs, and coordinate with SAP/MRP. You will build SRM with suppliers, drive KPI improvements, and create Power BI dashboards to analyze inventory trends, while following SOPs and regulatory requirements.

This onsite role requires collaboration across Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Supplier Quality, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field with 2+ years of procurement experience, OR High School Diploma with 5+ years of procurement experience
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, CIPS, CPM certification a plus
• Minimum 2+ years procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsabilités

• Procure direct materials to support production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels
• Utilize MRP (mainly SAP) for material procurement and coordinate purchasing with MRP requirements
• Create, manage, and monitor purchase orders end-to-end from placement to payment
• Lead vendor review meetings and SRM sessions to evaluate performance and drive improvements
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers based on cost, quality and lead-time
• Monitor supplier delivery, capacity and quality metrics; mitigate supply risks
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels across Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance
• Support new product introductions, transfers and change orders as needed
• Create Power BI dashboards from Excel to analyze inventory trends and propose improvements
• Apply AI to automate processes and identify improvement opportunities
• Drive KPI improvements including on-time delivery and price variance with a continuous improvement mindset
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies and regulatory requirements in a controlled environment
