Job summary

Alcami Corporation seeks a Desktop Engineer to ensure reliable computer operations for end users on site in Charleston, SC. You will handle incoming requests, document details, and resolve issues using incident-tracking tools, with hands-on desktop support in manufacturing and lab environments.

The role covers PC imaging, asset records, software installs, and IT onboarding/training, with 1st shift hours and after-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• A+ certification preferred.
• 2–3+ years in IT support, ideally in pharma/manufacturing.
• Experience with lab/manufacturing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide end user support via ticket system, walk‑ups, phone, and email.
• Document user information and issues in incident system.
• Triages and escalates problems; deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage end user accounts, permissions, and access.
• Deploy PC images and set up new users.
• Maintain hardware records; install software per standards.
• Train end users; publish quick reference guides.
• Ensure cGMP compliance in training and SOP adherence.
