Job summary

Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS) is seeking a Data Engineer to support Federal Law Enforcement customers in Burlington, VT. You will collect, integrate, resolve, and analyze large data sets to support investigations, working on-site and embedded at government offices.

Requirements include US citizenship, the ability to obtain a security clearance, and 3+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Python/Java/R and SQL, plus Databricks, Snowflake, and MS SQL Server, with strong data

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required to meet government contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance or suitable status.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering and related tasks.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or R for ETL and data pipelines; strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Databricks, MS SQL Server, Snowflake, and data modeling.
• Ability to interface with customers and work on sensitive data per policies.

Responsibilities

• Support Federal Law Enforcement data integration, analysis, and modeling.
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines and data architectures for large datasets.
• Work on on-site assignments embedded at US Government offices in Burlington, VT area.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requests into actionable project plans.
• Adhere to SDLC practices, version control, testing, and REST API interactions.
