Job summary

Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS) seeks a Data Scientist to support Federal Law Enforcement customers in New York, NY. The role involves collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets, building models and dashboards, and presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You will write Python code, use SQL for data extraction, and collaborate directly with customers to shape project goals and deliver results on time.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required to comply with government contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance or agency work suitability.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site at U.S. Government customer sites in the Manhattan, NY area.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (data science, CS, math, GIS, etc.).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data management, data analysis, data modeling, data storytelling, programming, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Collect, integrate, clean, verify, resolve, and maintain large datasets.
• Analyze data using statistical methods, graph networks, and pattern analyses.
• Develop models including machine learning and AI; translate findings into insights for dashboards.
• Write, edit, customize, and execute Python code to meet mission requirements.
• Use SQL for data extraction, pipelining, exploration, and analysis.
• Collaborate with customers to define goals and deliver results within timelines.
