Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure at a world-class data center in Piscataway, NJ. This full-time on-site role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining server and network gear, performing structured cabling, and monitoring power, cooling, and security systems.

You will respond to incidents, document assets, and work with engineering and operations teams on upgrades and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data center operations
• Knowledge of cabling (Cat6/6a, fiber types)
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Understanding of power distribution and UPS systems

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber)
• Deploy and decommission hardware
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security)
• Respond to incidents and troubleshoot issues
• Maintain asset docs and inventory
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades
