Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician for on-site, contract work in Sioux City, IA. You will support mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities and handle hardware installations, cabling, and server maintenance.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in data centers or IT infrastructure, strong cabling skills, and familiarity with server hardware from major vendors. Excellent English communication is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills including Cat5e/6/6a and fiber.
• Experience with server hardware from Dell/HP/Supermicro.
• Professional communication in English.
• Familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
