Job summary

OpenAI's Site Operations team seeks a Site Operations Technician to support daily operations of Industrial Compute campuses. You will be OpenAI's on-site technical representative, coordinating activities across hardware operations, facilities, and external partners.

You will perform routine inspections, track assets, assist with deployments and upgrades, document site conditions, and escalate risks affecting availability or safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification required.
• 2+ years experience in data center, facilities, or mission-critical infra.
• Ability to document issues clearly for tech and non-tech teams.
• Comfort working in active data center/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine site inspections to verify readiness and identify issues.
• Monitor site conditions across racks, network rooms, utilities, and logistics areas.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and partners performing on-site work.
• Assist with hardware deliveries, asset tracking, and equipment staging.
