Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an on-site Superintendent to provide coordination, planning, and supervision for a data center project in Pampa, TX. This role involves mentoring assistant superintendents and coordinating with contractors and design professionals.

Minimum qualifications include 5 years of construction management experience or equivalent, with a current driver’s license. Base pay ranges from $111,400 to $167,100 depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 10 years of trade experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects through development to closeout.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service.
• Ability to interpret and communicate company policies.
• Excellent communication and active listening with openness to feedback; travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedule.
• Review documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate plans with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule, site logistics plan, utilize tools and equipment, collaborate with project partner superintendents.
• Coach, supervise, and develop team members, conduct orientations, planning sessions, site meetings, supervise project partners, interview/hire/transfer/dismiss team members.
• Ensure proper task coding, lead and track work progress, handle team member training, conduct career development discussions.
• Build effective relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Lead by example, offer coaching and feedback, manage performance.
• Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance, recognize and mitigate unfavorable conditions, seek process improvements.
