Job summary

SimVentions seeks a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join the NSWC Dahlgren team onsite in Virginia. You will craft RMF A&A packages, conduct continuous monitoring, and test systems to uphold DoD security standards.

The role requires active TS/SCI eligibility, DoD cybersecurity experience, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly. A bachelor’s in cybersecurity is preferred, with compensation ranging from six figures depending on experience and contract considerations.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years program specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or five (5) years general security engineering experience.
• Two (2) of the five (5) years on Combat Weapons Systems experience with Navy afloat tactical combat systems (e.g., Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt).
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II or Level III certification when acting as ISSO/ISSE.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document a system from a Cybersecurity perspective using MS Word, Excel, Visio and related tools.
• Plan, execute and document risk assessments against known vulnerabilities.
• Apply DISA STIGs and NSA recommendations.
• Lead and perform as ISSO for assigned information systems.
