Job summary

Meta Power Solutions in Lake Park, FL seeks a Custom Order Engineer / Switchboard Design Specialist to translate customer specs into optimized, manufacturable designs for low-voltage switchboards and panelboards. You will review orders for technical accuracy and produce drawings and BOMs, linking Sales, Quotation, Purchasing and Production.

Responsibilities include creating and validating 3D-CAD models, ensuring UL/NEC compliance, and delivering on-time projects while minimizing cost.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
3–5 years of design/engineering experience for low-voltage switchboards/panelboards.
Strong knowledge of UL 891, UL 67, NEC and related standards; UL 1558 asset.

Responsibilities

Review customer orders, specs, and drawings to confirm technical requirements and feasibility.
Design custom low-voltage switchboards and panelboards, including bus sizing and device selection.
Create and maintain engineering drawings and BOMs in ERP/CRM.
Prepare submittal packages and manage drawing revisions through final release.
Provide technical support to production, QA and purchasing.
