Job summary

Archmil is seeking a full-time custodian at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Pastoral Center in St. Francis, WI. The role covers room setup, A/V testing, and comprehensive cleaning of meeting spaces and exterior areas.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, custodial experience, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Some evenings/weekends required; strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to use small hand tools and cleaning supplies.
• Follow sanitation procedures.
• Works well with others.
• Follow instructions with limited supervision and attention to detail.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, bending, twisting while holding tools or supplies and equipment.
• Most work is indoors with some outdoors; some evening and weekend work required.

Responsibilities

• Provide room setup and takedown.
• Set up A/V equipment for meetings and events and test equipment.
• Clean meeting rooms before and after meetings.
• Perform miscellaneous cleaning as needed due to spills, weather, etc.
• Dispose of waste and recycling.
• Assist maintenance staff.
• Provide assistance to office employees and leaders.
• Perform seasonal snow removal and other outside work.
• Clean-up of outside walkway, courtyard, and building upkeep as assigned.
