Job summary

Archdiocese of Seattle seeks a part-time Custodian at 0101 St. Augustine Parish, Oak Harbor, WA. You will perform daily cleaning across church facilities, classrooms, and grounds, including restrooms and common areas, while supporting event setups and safety protocols.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of custodial experience in a parish or educational setting; ability to lift heavy objects and work flexible hours is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable custodial experience preferred in parish settings.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible hours and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks in church, classrooms, offices, kitchens, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, carpets, and mats.
• Clean surfaces, desks, shelves, chairs, vents, windowsills, doors, and light switches.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and replenish supplies; ensure hygienic environment.
• Maintain campus grounds, perform routine garden/landscaped area maintenance.
• Assist with event setup (chairs, tables, A/V equipment) as requested.
• Communicate with Parish Administrator to coordinate cleaning and events.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely.
