Job summary

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee-Seminary- located in St. Francis, WI, has an opening for a custodian. This full-time role covers indoor cleaning, room setup, and event support at the Pastoral Center, with some outdoor tasks and occasional evenings/weekends.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and custodial experience, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and follow sanitation procedures. Strong work ethic and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Evening and weekend work may be required.
• Work indoors with occasional outdoor tasks.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide room setup and takedown
• Set up A/V equipment for meetings and events and test equipment
• Clean meeting rooms before and after meetings
• Perform miscellaneous cleaning as needed due to spills, weather, etc.
• Dispose of waste and recycling
• Assist in maintaining supplies
• Perform seasonal snow removal and other outside work
• Clean-up of outside walkway, courtyard, and building upkeep as assigned
• Assist maintenance staff
• Provide assistance to office employees and leaders
