Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ seeks a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide comprehensive anesthesia care in the department of Anesthesiology at RBHS/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The role covers pre-anesthetic evaluation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care in a four-category framework.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Education Program with a Master’s Degree in a related field.
• Must have completed the National Certification Examination to be a CRNA and maintain current certification.
• Current NJ RN and APN licensure and CRNA certification.
• BLS/ACLS required and certification, with ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation, including consultations and diagnostic studies.
• Develop and implement an anesthetic plan.
• Select and initiate general, regional, or MAC anesthesia.
• Administer anesthetics, adjuvants, and fluids as needed to manage anesthesia and patient stability.
• Apply monitoring modalities and manage airway and pulmonary status as required.
