Job summary

BGIS in Harwood, ND is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer (Data Center) to maintain essential mechanical, electrical and control systems in a high-availability facility. The role focuses on delivering timely, quality client service while upholding BGIS values in daily interactions.

You will perform routine and emergency maintenance, troubleshoot issues, evaluate system upgrades, and monitor vendors to ensure compliance with BGIS standards.

Qualifications

• Controls, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLC controls and industrial automation systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site response.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive client relationships and complete service requests.
• Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure data center efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend system upgrades.
• Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor vendors and contractors to BGIS standards.
• Complete and timely work order closures.
• Escalate issues to the Critical Environment Facility Manager as needed.
