Confidential, based in Rhode Island, seeks a full-time Attorney to support daily legal operations on-site under the direction of the Senior VP of Legal and HR. You will provide practical, timely guidance to advance organizational objectives while protecting regulatory integrity.

The role emphasizes contract review, drafting, and negotiation, with strong research and advisory responsibilities across departments and coordination with outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Rhode Island.
• At least 5 years of relevant legal experience with contract review, drafting, and negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of corporate legal matters, public sector requirements, and administrative processes.
• Proven research, writing and communication abilities with plain-language explanations.
• Excellent collaboration across departments and with external counsel.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including Professional Services and Construction Agreements.
• Provide legal research and clear memoranda for non-legal audiences.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation matters, pleadings, responses, and discovery.
• Assist in insurance claims administration and coordination with stakeholders and insurers.
• Advise leadership on legal risks, compliance, and best practices in contract management and governance.
• Support policy development to align with federal, state, and local requirements.
