Job summary

CFS is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting at its West Bridgewater, MA location, with some travel to East Hartford, CT. The role offers a salary range of $125,000-$140,000 plus bonus potential and benefits.

You will oversee daily accounting operations, drive close processes, and provide strategic financial insights to leadership. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership, strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, internal controls, ERP experience, and advanced

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
7+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills.
Ability to travel occasionally to East Hartford, CT.
A proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on management style.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
Lead and mentor accounting staff while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting functions.
Partner with leadership to provide actionable financial insights and support business decisions.
Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
