Job summary

Legacy Nursing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is seeking a Controller / Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and cash-flow management in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, experience with Sage Intacct and multi-entity environments, and the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders; this is an on-site role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Several years of progressive accounting experience, including senior accountant or controller level.
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
Experience with general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis.
Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
Multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Complete timely account and bank reconciliations.
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis.
Monitor cash flow and support business decisions.
Coordinate with external auditors and support audits.
Maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
Present financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Work on-site in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
