Job summary

Alda Contracting Services is seeking a Construction Superintendent for a full-time, on-site role in the Washington DC–Baltimore area. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and safety standards.

You will monitor schedules, communicate with project managers, clients, and inspectors, enforce OSHA safety rules, and document daily activities. Strong leadership and budget awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising subcontractors, coordinating trades, and managing daily field operations.
• Ability to enforce safety policies, OSHA compliance, and conduct regular safety meetings/inspections.
• Strong organization, documentation management, scheduling, and deadline prioritization.
• Budgeting basics, tracking field costs, change order support, and alignment with budgets.
• Project management skills, schedule management, stakeholder communication, and problem solving.
• Experience as Construction Superintendent or similar leadership on commercial projects preferred.
• Knowledge of mid-Atlantic construction methods, codes, and inspections beneficial.
• Proficiency with scheduling and project management software; basic computer skills.
• Strong communication with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams.
• Technical diploma/degree advantageous; equivalent field experience considered.

Responsibilities
