Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) delivers premier EHS safety support across construction projects, partnering with general contractors to implement robust safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance.

This Construction Safety Professional role requires field presence, leadership, and collaboration across trades; you will mentor crews, lead safety meetings, perform inspections, and drive continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably supporting a General Contractor.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926).
• Experience in complex, fast-paced construction environments (data centers or mission-critical projects).
• Working knowledge of high-risk activities (electrical safety, fall protection, confined spaces, crane operations).
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with field teams, supervisors, and management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as safety resource to the General Contractor, subcontractors, and project team.
• Coach field personnel on OSHA standards and site policies.
• Promote safety culture through active engagement with workers and leadership.
• Support daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard identification.
• Lead pre-task planning, JSAs, permits, and investigations.
• Facilitate new-hire orientations and toolbox talks.
• Monitor OSHA 29 CFR 1926 compliance on site.
• Maintain safety records and project metrics for leadership.
