Job summary

RWDY Inc in Notrees, TX is seeking an HSE Specialist II – Construction Site Safety to provide hands-on safety support for the DAC project. This field-based role requires regular interaction with crews and supervision, and enforcement of site safety requirements.

The successful candidate will conduct safety orientations, monitor active construction activities, perform inspections, track corrective actions, and participate in JSAs/JHAs, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of safety or HSE experience preferred, ideally within construction or industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926 requirements is expected.
• Experience conducting inspections, hazard assessments, JSAs/JHAs, safety observations, and investigations.
• Experience conducting employee safety orientations is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with field crews and management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence and monitor active construction activities and site conditions.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate with supervision to correct them promptly.
• Participate in JSAs/JHAs, pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Conduct safety orientations for new employees on site rules, PPE, and reporting requirements.
• Inspect toolboxes to verify required tools and equipment for each craft.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and project procedures.
• Assist with incident and near-miss reporting and investigations.
• Track corrective actions and follow up on safety concerns.
• Assist with project HSE plans, emergency procedures, inspections, and safety documentation.
• Exercise stop-work authority when a serious hazard is identified.
