Job summary

Paragon Safety Group is seeking an On-Site Safety Specialist to oversee safety at a Detroit-area construction site. The role involves coaching workers, conducting regular safety audits, and ensuring OSHA compliance. This temporary W-2 position typically runs 12 months with full-time hours and potential overtime.

The candidate should have OSHA 510, Owners Rep experience, and union experience, plus 5+ years of direct safety work. On-site work with strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular site safety audits and prepare audit reports with Safety Reports.
• Coach employees on-site to use safe practices in line with federal guidelines.
• Monitor safety-critical tasks and collaborate with contractors on safety practices.
• Represent the client's best interests for site health and safety at all times.
• Report safety incidents and conduct investigations when needed.
• Conduct Safety Orientations for personnel as required.
