Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking Safety Managers to join our field teams at multiple locations across the United States. These on-site roles reinforce safety on active projects and may require relocation and travel as needed.

You will lead safety efforts, coach project teams, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with OSHA and client requirements, while supporting Gilbane's safety culture and university training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering.
• 4–5 years construction safety management experience.
• ASP, CSP, CHST, or CIH credential required; OSHA instructor credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support safety efforts on the project and promote Gilbane Cares safety culture.
• Ensure contractors are preplanned for safety through reviews and meetings.
• Maintain all safety related documentation and submittals.
• Provide safety training to project teams on Gilbane, client, and OSHA requirements.
• Coach project teams in hazard identification and correction using SafetyNet.
• Investigate accidents/near misses and complete required paperwork.
• Collaborate with business development on safety metrics and client deliverables.
• Manage workload and mentor direct reports within company standards.
