Job summary

EnSafe is hiring a Construction Safety Oversight Professional to support a client site for at least 1 year, with potential extension. The role focuses on safety excellence, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with project teams to maintain safe work environments.

The position requires 5+ years of construction safety experience, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication. Massachusetts pay range is provided for Massachusetts sites; compensation will reflect location and market conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, EHS or related field, or commensurate experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience on large/complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and state/local regulations.
• Proven ability to perform field-based safety oversight with contractors and project teams.
• Excellent communication, observational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and industry software.
• Ability to work up to 12 hours/day.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety oversight on large-scale construction sites with field audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project safety plans, OSHA regulations, and EnSafe standards.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses; recommend and track corrective actions.
• Review and validate Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Site Safety Plans, Lift Plans, and other safety documents.
• Facilitate safety training, toolbox talks, and coaching to improve on-site safety.
• Collaborate with project leadership to integrate safety into planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Identify risks during pre-construction/design phases and suggest mitigations.
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Serve as SME on OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and industry best practices.
• Escalate safety concerns with recommended actions to leadership.
